Parnassus Funds Trustees
The Parnassus Funds trustees oversee the governance of the funds on behalf of the Parnassus shareholders and are elected at regular shareholder meetings.

Herb A. Houston
Independent Trustee
Herbert Houston has served as Trustee of the Parnassus Fund since 1998 and the Parnassus Income Funds since inception. He was also the former Chief Executive Officer of the Haight Ashbury Free Clinics, Inc. from 1987 to 1998. Prior to Haight Ashbury Free Clinics, he held executive positions with National Association of Sickle Cell Diseases, Bay Area Black United Fund and the united Way. Currently, he has a consulting company, Houston & Associates, specializing in health and human services. Mr. Houston holds an MPA in Public Administration from the University of Southern California.
Jeanie S. Joe
Independent Trustee
Jeanie Joe is President of Geo/Resource Consultants, Inc., a 28-year-old geotechnical and environmental consulting firm in California and Arizona. Prior to election to the Board of The Parnassus Fund and The Parnassus Income Trust in 2004, she served as a consultant to the board. Ms. Joe is also currently a board director and secretary of the Telecommunications Consumer Protection Fund Oversight Corporation (California), and a member of California Employment Development Department's SBEAC (Small Business Employer Advisory Committee) representing the Asian American Architects and Engineers. She is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley (B.S.), and the University of California at Los Angeles (M.P.H.) with a MDE Certificate (Management Development for Entrepreneurs) from The Anderson School of Management, UCLA.
Jerome L. Dodson
Trustee, President and Chief Investment Officer
Jerome L. Dodson has served as President and Chief Investment Officer of Parnassus Investments since its inception. Prior to founding Parnassus in 1984, he was the President of Continental Savings of America and President of Working Assets. Mr. Dodson is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley and of the Harvard Business School. He is active in many community organizations and has served on the boards of the Haight Ashbury Free Medical Clinics, Project Open Hand, the Social Investment Forum and the San Francisco Museum and Historical Society.
Donald V. Potter
Independent Trustee
Donald Potter is a member of the Parnassus Family of Funds Board of Trustees. Don is currently President of Strategystreet.com. His previous experience includes over thirty years of strategy consulting experience with McKinsey & Company and Windermere Associates, and several years as a financial executive with Exxon Corporation. He received his undergraduate degree in Arts and Letters from the University of Notre Dame and his MBA from Harvard Business School.
