Samantha Palm named Portfolio Manager of the Parnassus Fixed-Income Fund

San Francisco, California – May 1, 2013

Effective May 1, 2013, Samantha D. Palm will manage the Parnassus Fixed-Income Fund. Based on the growth of assets in the Fund, the firm has decided to transition the portfolio manager position to Ms. Palm, who brings a wealth of knowledge of fixed-income to the role. “During our extensive interview process, Samantha impressed us with her enthusiasm, team-orientation and deep understanding of fixed-income markets. I’m delighted that Samantha chose to join the firm, and confident that she’ll do a great job managing the Parnassus Fixed-Income Fund,” said Benjamin E. Allen, Director of Research. Biography
Samantha D. Palm is the Portfolio Manager of the Parnassus Fixed-Income Fund. She joined Parnassus Investments in 2013. Prior to joining the firm, she was a Vice President within Wells Fargo Securities’ fixed income group. Previously, Ms. Palm was at Robert W. Baird & Co. where she was an equity research analyst. Ms. Palm graduated with honors from the University of Wisconsin with a bachelor’s degree in agricultural and applied economics.
