San Francisco, CA, November 19, 2025 – Parnassus Investments, a pioneer in sustainable investing, is pleased to announce it has received the 2025 CIO Industry Innovation Award for Public Equity, recognizing the firm’s leadership, performance, and innovation in navigating today’s dynamic markets.

Hosted by Chief Investment Officer magazine, the annual CIO Industry Innovation Awards honor asset owners and managers who demonstrate exceptional skill, discipline, and innovation amid an evolving investment landscape. Parnassus earned recognition for its differentiated, fundamental approach to long-term investing that seeks strong returns while emphasizing quality, stewardship, and sustainability.

The Parnassus public equity strategies are highly selective, built on a rigorous, bottom-up process focused on quality companies with durable competitive advantages, increasingly relevant products and services, strong management teams and sustainable business practices. The firm’s investment strategies have shown resilience across market cycles, consistently offering downside protection through market downturns, which helps investors compound their investments faster.

“We’re honored to be recognized by Chief Investment Officer as a leading asset manager for public equities,” said Benjamin Allen, CEO of Parnassus Investments. “For more than four decades, Parnassus has believed that investing with both conviction and conscience leads to better outcomes. This award is a testament to our team’s unwavering commitment to creating enduring value for our clients and shareholders.”

Finalists and winners were selected by Chief Investment Officer’s editorial panel. The honorees were announced at the 15th Annual CIO Industry Innovation Awards Dinner, held at Chelsea Piers in New York City on October 16, 2025.

“We selected Parnassus as the winner in the Public Equity category in recognition of its thoughtful and disciplined investment approach. In a market full of shifting trends, its consistency and long-term results were key reasons why the manager earned this year’s award, ” said Alison Cooke Mintzer, Publisher, CIO.

Methodology

Since 2010, with the exception of 2020, CHIEF INVESTMENT OFFICER, a division of ISS Market Intelligence, has been recognizing institutional asset owners and the asset managers and providers that serve them with its annual Industry Innovation Awards.

The application period for asset management and service providers opens in February. There is no fee to participate. The application asked for details about performance, innovative strategies, contributions to the industry and drivers of success. A panel of internal judges at CIO selects the award finalists and winners.

Parnassus did not compensate CIO for this nomination or finalist selection.
